Liam Gallagher says it's 'early days' in relationship with estranged daughter Molly Moorish

Rock star posted a photo with his daughter and his sons Lennon and Gene on Instagram last week

Liam Gallagher has spoken out about his new relationship with estranged daughter Molly Moorish after meeting her last week.

Moorish, 21, was pictured with the former Oasis star and his sons Lennon, 18, and Gene, 16, in a photo posted on Instagram - backstage at a Rolling Stones gig where he was performing.

It was the first time Gallagher had seen his daughter in 19 years, and reportedly only the second time he had met her.

Speaking with Jo Whiley for the BBC, he said: "It was amazing, and they all looked beautiful and it was cool," NME reports.

"Molly was there... first time... I met her before," he continued. "It was nice to have them all there... she's a top girl and she's all good. We're getting on good, it's early days and they're getting on great, the kids and that."

Asked whether this marked a new chapter for him as a father, he commented: "I hope so, I hope she doesn't get sick of me, you know what I mean."

Gallagher had previously said he felt Moorish was better off with her mother, singer Lisa Moorish, with whom he had an affair in the 90s whilst still married to Patsy Kensit.

He recently headlined the BBC's Biggest Weekend festival in Coventry, where he took a few swipes at his rival football team, Liverpool, but had some nice things to say about Coventry.

"Don't listen to all that s**t that people say about you, you are a proper city," he said, also praising the crowd for sticking out the torrential downpour that afternoon.
