Lil Wayne issues message to fans after cocaine and gun found on private plane
Rapper tweeted to tell fans ‘all goody!’
Lil Wayne was a passenger on a private plane searched by federal agents for guns and drugs.
The rapper flew into Miami on Monday (23 December) from California aboard a private jet that was stopped by authorities who later found cocaine and a firearm on the aircraft, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to the Miami Herald.
Miami-Dade Police had reportedly received a tip about weapons and marijuana possibly being transported on the plane, which was then searched at Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport on Monday evening.
Defence attorney Howard Srebnick said his client, Lil Wayne, was “cleared” to leave the scene by federal investigators.
Wayne appeared to make light of the incident on Twitter, alluding to a previous tweet he had sent in support of the NFL team Green Bay Packers.
“All goody! I think they thought I was talking about a different ‘Pack’ in my last tweet.
“But anyway, GO PACK GO!!!” he wrote.
