The follow-up to Mumford & Son's hugely successful debut album will hit record stores on 25 September.
'Babel' has been hotly anticipated ever since the tearaway success of the quartet's 2009 breakout album 'Sigh No More'.
Songs from the new offering, including "Ghosts That We Knew" and "Lover's Eyes", have been played at recent gigs.
The band, who have toured extensively, reportedly wrote much of the LP on their tour bus and during sound checks in the last two years.
"The road has rubbed off into the album," bandmember Ted Dwane told Rolling Stone Magazine. "It's full of aliveness."
The band said in a recent interview that they have been careful not to deviate too much from the "strange, simple, unique sort of sound" that has characterised their work as a result of having four core instruments without a drummer.
