Lincolnshire parrot stuns wildlife park visitors by singing Beyoncé’s ‘If I Were a Boy’

‘Poker Face’ and ‘Firework’ are among the other songs in its repertoire

Footage of a parrot singing the refrain from Beyoncé’s ”If I Were a Boy” has gone viral on social media.

The bird, named Chico, can be seen at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park in the East Midlands.

Footage of the animal performing to onlookers was shared on the animal sanctuary’s Facebook page last week.

Viewers have been surprised by the bird’s uncanny singing ability, with some tongue-in-cheek replies even comparing it favourably to the original, which became a hit for Beyoncé in 2008.

What’s more, the feathery performer reportedly has a number of other songs in his repertoire.

The wildlife centre has suggested that the parrot is capable of singing “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga, “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley and “Firework” by Katy Perry.

Zoos and wildlife parks are currently open for business, having faced closure earlier this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park could hardly have asked for a better advertisement for its animals than the video of Chico, which has been viewed more than 100,000 times since being posted on social media.
