Paul McCartney announces first UK live shows in three years
'There’s nothing like performing in front of your home crowd'
Paul McCartney has today (5 July) announced his first UK live dates in three years.
The British icon will perform in Liverpool, Glasgow, and London this December as part of the Freshen Up tour, promoting his upcoming album Egypt Station.
“There’s nothing like performing in front of your home crowd, especially when it’s been a while,” McCartney said.
“I can’t wait to finish the year on such a high by partying in Liverpool, Glasgow and London. We’ve freshened up the show since our last time round and we are excited to get to play some of our new songs along side some of the favourites.”

Show all 7The Freshen Up tour begins this September in Canada, the former Beatles member later headlining the Austin City Limits festival in October.
Tickets for the UK dates go on sale Monday, 16 July at 10am. Details of all three dates below.
Wednesday 12 December – Echo Arena – Liverpool
Friday 14 December – SSE Hydro – Glasgow
Sunday 16 December – The O2 – London
McCartney’s new record, Egypt Station, comes out 7 September. Meanwhile, the musician recently appeared on James Corden's show, walking the host through his childhood home.
