It appears there is no corner of the world that Pokémon cannot touch as now, even the acclaimed London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are jumping on the bandwagon.

The orchestra will perform arrangements of music taken from the Japanese video games at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo on 19 and 20 December.

Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions has played a string of dates around the globe from France to the USA. Described on its website as the “must-see video game concert of the year”, the shows are likely to prove popular with Pokémon fans of all ages, with colourful visuals from recent and classic games accompanying the concert.

“Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to meet up with friends to catch, battle and trade Pokémon from your favourite games,” the announcement reads.

Tickets are sure to sell out amid the Pokémon Go craze. The new augmented reality smartphone game has been downloaded by millions worldwide, with the sight of people “catching” Pokémon outside now as common as Pidgeys and Rattatas.

Tickets can be bought from the official website here on Friday 29 July with prices ranging from £40 to £56.
