Prince to testify in AEG trial four years on from Michael Jackson's death, as speculation is cast on children's paternity

Michael Jackson said he wished his children could have the normal, stable childhood that he never had.

But on the fourth anniversary of his death, there were questions over the children’s guardianship and rumours surrounding their true parentage, while his 16-year-old son Prince is expected to testify today in a wrongful death suit against concert promoter AEG Live.

The Jackson family is seeking $40 billion in damages, claiming that AEG Live knew about Michael Jackson’s health and addiction problems and negligently hired Dr Conrad Murray, who is currently serving a four-year jail term for involuntary manslaughter.

Michael confided in Prince about whom he trusted and whom he was wary of, and jurors could be told of the singers tearful predictions about his own death, according to CNN.

Meanwhile, it was announced yesterday that there will be no changes to the guardianship of Prince, Paris and Blanket.

Los Angeles Superior Court judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered an investigation into their well-being following Paris’s suicide attempt earlier this month, and after receiving a report he said he would be “taking no further action”.

The children will remain under the guardianship of their grandmother Katherine Jackson and their cousin TJ Jackson.

Paris is being cared for in a ward at the UCLA Medical Center, but today the Mirror reported that the 15-year-old wants to meet British actor Mark Lester, who reportedly claims he is her biological father.

A family friend allegedly told the paper: “Paris is deeply interested in learning about her father’s friendship with Mark and what happened.

“In no way would she ever see him as a replacement for Michael but she’s curious. Mark has met the kids before but Paris never knew the significance of it until now.”
