Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin walks off stage after claiming audience member stole his house

The rock band's frontman is renowned for his unpredictable on-stage antics

Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin may be well-known for his on-stage outbursts, but this one must be the strangest yet.

A video has surfaced showing the lead singer walking off stage midway through a set after accusing an audience member of stealing his house.

Stopping the show, Scantlin can be seen pointing at an unseen figure in the crowd, presumably stood at the front, before launching a tirade of abuse at him.

Scantlin is then seen putting on his jacket and walking off stage, followed by his visibly confused band members.

On 10 January, the TMZ reported how Scantlin got arrested after vandalising a house he lost due to foreclosure last year. The gig occurred a few weeks later on 30 January.

The venue has since offered an apology to their fans who were expecting a full show.

Puddle of Mudd's most successful album was 2002's Come Clean which spawned the hits "Blurry" and "She Hates Me".

The American rock band are due to play a show at London's 02 Academy Islington on 27 March.
