R Kelly turned 48 this week, and what better way to celebrate than by releasing a generic R&B track called 'Happy Birthday' in which you repeatedly wish yourself a happy birthday?

Borrowing heavily from Drake's '305 To My City' both in terms of flow and sound, Kellz posted the track on Audiomack (below), while over on Facebook he congratulated himself in third persion, writing: "Let's wish the KING a Happy Birthday!! ‪#‎CapricornSeason‬".

In case you were in any doubt whether this song does indeed pertain to birthdays, here's the chorus lyrics:

'Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday

Shake

'appy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday

Shake

Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday

Shake

Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday

Shake

Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday'

Because you earned it, here's a picture of R Kelly playing a woman like a cello:

And here's no doubt his finest creation, 'Real Talk':
