Radiohead could be unlikely contenders for the Christmas No 1 with their new single "The Daily Mail".

With lyrics including "the lunatics have taken over the asylum", the song – available to download on Monday – appears to be a critique of the newspaper. In a piano ballad which builds to a crescendo, Thom Yorke croons: "Singing we're here to keep your prices down, we'll feed you to the hounds, to the Daily Mail."
