Rihanna is recovering from bruising after an incident involving an electric scooter.

The singer’s spokesperson confirmed there had been an accident on Saturday, the same day that images of Rihanna with bruises on her face appeared online.

“Rihanna is completely fine now but flipped over on an electric scooter last week and bruised her forehead and face,” her representative said in a statement.

“Luckily there were no major injuries and she is healing quickly.”

The “Wild Thoughts” singer has been working on her ninth studio album for the last four years.

She recently told fans they are “not going to be disappointed” after the long wait. Speaking about her new music, Rihanna said: “I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out.

“You’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.”

Rihanna is the latest celebrity to sustain injuries from an electric vehicle. In August, Simon Cowell broke his back after an e-bike accident.
