This is the one. Seminal Manchester band The Stone Roses have sent fans up and down the country into a flurry after announcing three gigs in the summer of 2016.

Speculation of new shows grew on Monday after posters of their iconic lemon logo began to appear in shop windows around Manchester.

When and where will they be playing?

The jangle-pop four-piece have announced three gigs.

They will play at Manchester City’s Etihad Staidum on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 June 2016, followed by a headline slot at the T in the Park festival on Friday 8 July.

How can you buy tickets?

Tickets for the two gigs at the Etihad Stadium are being sold by Gigs and Tours and Ticketmaster.

Tickets for the T in the Park show will be available from TinthePark.com.

When will they go on sale?

All tickets will be available from 9.30am on Friday 6 November.

Who will be supporting?

We don't know yet. The poster that the band used to announce the gig did, however, reveal that the Roses will be joined by "special guests".

Earlier in the day, Liam Fray of The Courteeners and The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess hinted at today's announcement and could be in line to support.

What's more, last month, Noel Gallagher hinted that the band had something big planned while appearing on Soccer AM. He was asked if he knew what they were currently doing, to which he replied: "Yes. I know exactly what's going on... They're blooming.”

Does this mean they will release a third album?

A lot of the rumours on Monday had suggested a third album could be in the offing, which would be the band's first full-length release in 21 years. Today's announcement, however, contained no mention of a new record.
