BBC Breakfast accidentally broadcasts sex toy live during Stormzy interview

It probably wasn't quite what viewers were expecting to see during breakfast.

The BBC appeared to accidentally broadcast footage of a cheerful festival-goer waving a large sex toy during Stormzy's performance of "Shut Up" at Glastonbury this year.

BBC Breakfast presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were interviewing the artist about the video for his single "Blinded By Your Grace Pt 2" where they aired a clip of the show.

During a prominent moment of the video the camera was zoomed in and then stayed focused on a man dressed as a police officer waving what was clearly a large sex toy as though it was a truncheon.

While the hosts either didn't or pretended not to notice, viewers spotted the moment instantly and tweeted about it (with a considerable amount of glee) on social media.

A BBC Breakfast spokesperson told The Sun: “A handful of people spotted a fleeting shot of someone in the crowd at Glastonbury holding up something which seems to have caused some amusement on social media - we’re not aware that viewers took offence.”
