Take That concert: How to watch the free Meercat Music stream and when is it on?

Everything you need to know about the one-off reunion performance

Take That are set to deliver a one-off charity performance, in which they will reunite with former bandmate Robbie Williams.

The music stars may be used to filling stadia, but, in accordance with the government social distancing guidelines, each member of Take That will be performing from their own home via video link.

The gig will be hosted by the price comparison website Compare the Market, under a new banner called Meercat Music.

When is the gig and how can I watch it?

The event will take place on Friday 29 May, and is scheduled to begin at 8pm.

Viewers can access the stream through the Compare the Meerkat YouTube channel and Facebook Live.

Which charities is the performance in aid of?

The event will raise money to support music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins and Crew Nation.

In a statement, Take That announced: “We are also delighted to be supporting Nordoff Robbins and Crew Nation around this show, two charities very close to our hearts.”

Williams said: “I am really looking forward to performing with the boys again – it’s always a pleasure. Nordoff Robbins and Crew Nation are both such brilliant charities and I’m thrilled to be supporting them around this show.”

Who will be performing?

As well as Williams, regular Take That members Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald will also perform.

It will mark the first time the four of them have performed together since 2018.

“This is a world first for us!” the band said in a statement. “Reuniting with our old friend online for a one-off performance!

“It’s always great getting back together with Robbie and we are really excited to be part of this unique show that everyone can enjoy from home.”

Jason Orange, who quit the band in 2014, will not be taking part.
