From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Taylor Swift has released a fourth song from her upcoming new album reputation.

"Call It What You Want", arguably the best song off the record so far, was co-written and produced with Swift's collaborator Jack Antonoff [St. Vincent, Lorde].

It's a fairly drastic change-up from the songs Swift has released so far, including her other Antonoff collab "Look What You Made Me Do", and is a slow-tempo song featuring heartfelt, romantic-yet-mature lyrics.

She sings in the opening verse:

'My castle crumbled overnight
I brought a knife to a gunfight
They took the crown but it's alright
All the liars are calling me one
Nobody's heard from me in months
I'm doing better than I ever was.'

Here's how fans have reacted so far:

Swift has released four singles from her upcoming album reputation, which is released on 10 November via Big Machine Records.
