Ostrich puppet-wielding, family-friendly comic singer Bernie Clifton was stunned to find this week that his new CDs had been printed with the track listing for Abhorrent Decimation’s new album Miasmic Mutilation.

Instead of classic covers like ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ and ‘Lady In Red’, the CD purported to contain the death metal tracks ‘Eternal Repulsion’, ‘Glaciate The Servants’ and more.

"I'm fuming and furious... I got [the CDs] out the box and I looked on the back and here was the track listing of a death metal group,” said Clifton, who made the album of covers after competing in BBC One talent contest The Voice.

Abhorrent Decimation took the mix-up, believed to be due to similar catalogue numbers, in good spirits.

“Not sure what has happened here exactly but it seems we've done a split with Bernie Clifton. Safe,” they wrote on Facebook.
