UK Top 40: Meghan Trainor holds number one spot for fourth week with 'All About That Bass'

The song ties with 'Rather Be' as the longest-running chart-topper this year

Meghan Trainor has won a fourth week at number one in the Official Singles Chart with "All About That Bass".

The track, which was also this week's most streamed song with over 1.4 million streams, has tied with Clean Bandit's "Rather Be" as the longest-running chart-topper of the year, the Official Charts Company said.

Mike Read's Ukip Calypso song finished just outside the Top 40 at number 44.

The former Radio 1 DJ was forced to withdraw the track from sale earlier this week after being accused of racism for imitating a Jamaican voice on the song.

The singer apologised for “unintentionally causing offence” with the track, which praises Ukip and its leader Nigel Farage, and says Labour “committed a cardinal sin" by opening the borders to let "illegal immigrants" come in.

Figures released on Wednesday showed the record was on course to enter the top 20.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran climbs two places to number two with "Thinking Out Loud".

The song, which logs its 18th week on the chart, also broke the million streams mark this week with more than 1.2 million streams.

House duo Waze & Odyssey claim the highest new entry at number three with "Bump & Grind 2014".

Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's "Bang Bang" is at number four and Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" completes the top five.
