Rapper Wiley goes on Instagram rant about fellow artists

Wiley has shared a video of himself ranting about Skepta and Dizzee Rascal's new collaboration "Money Right", after a music video preview was released on 17 October.

The "godfather of grime", who appeared to be in Cypress in the video, went so far as to accuse Skepta and his brother Jme, both founding members of grime collective BBK, of "stealing" from Meridian Crew member Big H before shouting: "Bro, you're Big H's DJ... remember that!"

"What is happening?" he asked in the video. "Why is everyone such a pr**k?"

"You know why I'm the king?" the artist born Richard Cowie continued. "because I tell people to work with you, you tell people to 'F*** Wiley. F*** grime, I'm a pop star. F*** all of them, man'. You and Skepta, I hope you're happily ever after, bruv."

He added: "Ignore him, ignore Wiley he's gone mad. You're a pagan and you're a pagan, that's all. Love? That's not going to work. Revenge? That's not going to work. Dizzee and Skepta on a tune, you know what? Neither of you lot can talk to me, I'm not talking to you. That's it, done. You made your bed now you can go and lie in it you pagans.

Wiley, 39, and Dizzee, 34, have been embroiled in an on-off feud for years. Wiley is widely credited with pioneering grime in the early noughties, and was awarded an MBE for his musical output in the 2018 New Year's Honours.

As well as taking issue with Skepta for collaborating with his rival, he also called out the Konnichiwa artist for working with US pop and hip hop artists, such as Drake and A$AP Rocky.

At the time of writing neither Dizzee, Skepta or Jme had responded to Wiley's outburst.
