You couldn't move for bands like 2:54 in the early 1990s.

Moody female vocal, a backbeat which nodded gently to dance culture, and a wash of shoegaze guitar which affected to hide lyrical depths which weren't actually there. The sister-sister duo Hannah and Colette Thurlow are already a serial support band, and are being name-checked by all the right mags and blogs, but while their debut album is difficult to fault, it's equally difficult to get excited about.
