BEF (British Electric Foundation) was an influential 1980s production project from Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh of the Human League/Heaven 17, pairing unlikely singers with cutting-edge electronic covers of pop classics.

Ware has revived the project for a third collection and, nigh on every time, Dark's combination of singer and song (Green Gartside with "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time" to give one example) is as exquisite as it looks on paper.
