This barmy 1972 star-sign suite has been a legendary item for samplers and crate-diggers for years. Produced by Cannonball and David Axelrod, the music is by Nat Adderley's sextet, in which both Cannon and Ernie Watts play sax while Mike Deasy's psychedelic guitar is added to the regular rhythm section, with George Duke on keyboards.

The sonorous voice of radio DJ Rick Holmes booms out the introductions to each of the 12 signs, and Nat's cornet sounds like Bitches Brew-era Miles, with some truly stoned arrangements. There's also an Adderley/Axelrod best-of, 'Walk Tall'.
