Album: Crystal Fighters, Cave Rave (Zirkulo/Pias)

The second Crystal Fighters album channels Hispanic folk and Afrobeat through Anglo-American indie rock and their own half-baked spirituality.

It's bright and brash, sometimes almost life-affirming, but leaves you wondering two things. Firstly, how on earth Graceland became the most influential 1980s album. Secondly, whether it's appropriate for a white English kid to sing in a comedy "foreign" accent (even if there are Spanish members in his band).
