Saxophonist Murray is the most exciting live performer in jazz, but since a great run on the DIW label his recordings haven't always offered a true estimate of his worth.

This is a return to form, opening with a signature mid-tempo groove on "French Kiss for Valerie", and continuing with guest vocalists Macy Gray and Gregory Porter singing lyrics by Ishmael Reed. Free-jazz legend Bobby Bradford adds cornet on "The Graduate".
