Now resident in Brazil, Eugene Hutz has welcomed new elements into the GB sound, as well as a new rhythm section including an Ethiopian bassist and Latin American percussionist.
On their fifth studio album, the band's hybrid ska-punk-folk style welds Eastern European gypsy music with its South American equivalents on 14 songs about rebellion, racism and the immigrant experience. It's all rousing, festival-friendly stuff and the involvement of Rick Rubin could make this the album which breaks the band into the big time.
