Playing the genius card for all it's worth, pianist Jarrett's sleevenotes for this 3CD set of live solo concerts from late last year detail the context of panic attacks and marital/ nervous breakdown surrounding them, and his struggle to turn this into miraculous art.

As on his solo Carnegie Hall recording, there's some nervy scurries, but as the performances progress Jarrett comes up with ecstatic improvisations again and again, recalling the legendary Köln concert of 34 years ago, but with more wisdom and intensity.
