Saxophonist Ed Jones and trumpeter Damon Brown are talented UK bop players who've been round the block a few times and Killer Shrimp is their attempt to use technology to sound more contemporary.

This being jazz, the project inevitably recalls what Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter were doing 40 years ago. Electronic add-ons are rather randomly applied and while there's no doubting the duo's skills, or that of their band and guests, this never quite fulfills its promise, despite a very late entry into reggae.
