Album: Lucy Rose, Like I Used To (Columbia)

Full disclosure: as well as being a singer-songwriter, Lucy Rose blends and sells tea (builder’s mixed with Earl Grey), and her people sent a sample of said beverage out to selected reviewers.

It was pleasant enough and completely inoffensive and – I’ve rather signalled this, haven’t I? – exactly the same could be said of Rose’s Lissie-lite music, which (oh, the irony) you will almost certainly hear playing in the background of a coffee shop near you soon.
