Throughout her stint on 2010's X Factor, shy Scouse single mum Ferguson was constantly being told by buffoonish Louis Walsh that she had a "recording voice" and that he couldn't wait "to hear her album".
Well, here it is. And... well, while co-writer and producer Eg White (Adele, Duffy, Will Young) has done a decent-enough job and Ferguson's smoky tones recall the young Aretha Franklin at her more restrained, it's all ever so slightly boring.
