In 1974, before he became a Stone and was still just about a Face, dear old Ronnie created what remains one of the most lovable "solo" albums made by either a Stone or a Face.
The fact that Mick, Keith and Rod were all on it should not be taken to signify anything much beyond the fact that this was a mates thing: long on feel and licks, shortish on pure songwriting. No matter. It's a record all about the pleasures of recording. Ron is a hopeless singer but that is hardly the point: listen to the groove. Very dopey, very period, very crude, amazingly enjoyable.
