Twenty-five years since forming the Afghan Whigs, the one constant in Greg Dulli's career has been his persona as a remorseless heartbreaker and ladykiller, the devil in disguise.

On Dynamite Steps, featuring guest Twilight Singers Ani DiFranco, The Verve's Nick McCabe and Dulli's Gutter Twins conspirator Mark Lanegan, there's no let-up in his worldview. The sound is a return to the Whigs' finest and the mood is whiskey, cigarettes and damnation.
