In the late 1960s, the Trojan label lit upon an efficient way of getting the latest Jamaican hits to the UK market: cheap compilations which gave very little away in their iconography about the music's provenance.

The Chartbusters series was quite successful in its brief three-year reign, although that success should be measured in commercial terms rather than cultural ones. Here they are again, in a six-volume series (120 songs) and sporting the same, er, look. For the nostalgic you rather than the dread one.
