Future Sounds of Jazz - Vol 8, Compost

The compilation series that pretty much defined the nu-jazz genre is still going strong, returning with another dozen exclusive or previously vinyl-only tracks to stroke your beard and click your fingers to. Old hands Ashley Beedle and Underwolves are joined by the excellent Slow Supreme, and there's still that nexus of German producers orbiting the always excellent Compost records. Occasionally over-indulgent, but far less often than you'd expect. Instead the production is tight, and the beats are infectious enough for almost any dancefloor.
