The indie-rock legend's latest release is a double.
Holy Ghosts features semi-orchestral reworkings of Echo & the Bunnymen classics recorded at the Union Chapel. "The Killing Moon" stands out, as it would in any context. Holy Ghosts is bundled here with last year's solo album Pro Patria Mori, featuring the now-topical "Me and David Bowie". It's prettily produced but flimsy, which is fine, as the Bunnymen were always more about flash and grandeur than lyrical content.
