Rock legend Carlos Santana is readying the release of a Supernatural-style all-star album, according to an interview published by Billboard on June 24. The album will include covers of iconic rock songs by The Beatles, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and more.

A release date and final track list have not yet been announced, but Santana told Billboard that he had collaborated with "Smooth" partner Rob Thomas on Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love," Joe Cocker on Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," Scott Weiland on The Rolling Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," Chris Daughtry on Def Leppard's "Photograph," Soundgarden's Chris Cornell on Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love," Papa Roach's Jacoby Shaddix on Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," and rapper Nas on AC/DC's "Back in Black."

His personal favorite, the guitarist told Billboard, is a cover of The Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" recorded with India.Arie and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Carlos Santana is set to begin a US tour with Steve Winwood on June 30, during which he will reportedly preview some of the covers. He will then begin a month-long European tour leg September 29.

Famous for his work with band Santana since the 1960s, as well as for his solo work and collaborations, Carlos Santana has won 10 Grammy Awards and 3 Latin Grammys and was named among Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. Santana's most recent release was the 2010 reissue of Supernatural in celebration of the nine-time GRAMMY-winning album's 10th anniversary.
