Skrillex and Diplo's 24-hour DJ set shut down by police after 18 hours
Performers also dropped their new album Jack U during the private party which was live-streamed
US police officers shut down Diplo and Skrillex attempt to DJ for 24 hours straight eighteen hours into the performance.
The pair, who also released their debut album Jack Ü on iTunes during the live show, were interrupted in their set by Los Angeles Police Department officers at 6am yesterday morning, local time.
Writing on Twitter the performer Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, said: “Haha this is the moment when the cops shut us down at 6am … but they were super cool about it …”
The private party, held to celebrate the launch of their anticipated album, was allegedly shut down after 18 hours when the crowds outside became too large, YourEDM reported.
Skrillex and Diplo livestreamed the party. Their performances, and those of guests throughout the evening, were eagerly watched by fans around the world.
