POLKA extremists seeking to have their favourite form of exercise enshrined as the state dance of Wisconsin have had their way. Hundreds of members of the PBA (Polka Boosters Association) were bussed to the state capitol to lobby representatives on a senate committee for the dance to be placed alongside milk and loam as approved State symbols. Whether they waltzed away from the hearing was not reported. Wisconsin senator Gary Dzsewiecki proclaimed the polka 'a good way for people of all ages to keep in shape and stay out of trouble.'
