Instagram debunked

Chompoo Baritone is debunking the myths of Instagram by revealing the reality behind the filters and the cropping.

Photographer Baritone is from Bangkok, Thailand and uses typical Instagram images as her subject matter.

Baritone shows us the messy edges around a healthy looking breakfast, a headstand that isn't so impressive and the actual colour of the sky complete with intruding aerials.

She studied photography at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and is among a number of Instagram satirists who have popped up lately.

Part of the Instagram experience is choosing just the right filter or getting everything in place but it's easy to forget what the original image looked like, or know what some users are hiding.

Is this exposing society's falsitude or just what photographers have been doing since the invention of the camera?
