The Carling Weekend

This year the daddy of the festies expands from its usual Reading home to duplicate itself in its entirety in Leeds a day later. It starts with the Charlatans headlining above the Chemical Brothers and there's a dated Britpop feel to Day two with Blur and Catatonia. On the final day the Chili Peppers headline. As usual, the strong supporting bill make this the best rock event in the land.
