THIS WEEK'S Quiet Revolution (11am R4) is about a cheese (right) - a cheese called Desmond. Not only is Desmond a hard and piquant cheese with a sharp aftertaste, but, according to his Irish creator Bill Hogan, he is the saviour of the tiny Irish coastal town of Kinsale. Hogan tells how cheese-making revived the town's flagging economy - and how his creation ended up being called Desmond.
