Either Meat Loaf and Van Halen were way ahead in 1985, or this album's production is somewhat anachronistic. The drum samples, synth stabs and earnest guitar-mangling - provided by Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme - epitomise the Big Rock Sound of the Eighties. But, as on 1990's Don't Explain, Palmer's desire to fit every conceivable musical genre on one album makes for an intriguing listen at least.
