The Duchess of Gloucester, President, the Children's Society, visits the headquarters at Edward Rudolf House, Margery Street, London WC1; and attends a reception to mark the 30th anniversary of the Kensington and Chelsea Volunteer Bureau, Kensington Town Hall, London W8. The Duke of Kent visits Jasmin plc, Sellers Wood Drive, Bulwell, Nottingham; officially opens Mansfield Police Station and attends a lunch at Great Central Road, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire; and visits W. & J. Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The Duke of Wellington's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards.
