The Princess Royal, Patron, Victim Support Scotland, attends a National Council Meeting at the City Chambers, Edinburgh; as President, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, attends a luncheon at Adam and Company, Edinburgh; opens Annfield House, Stirling; and, as Fellow, the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, gives a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Princess Margaret, President, the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children, attends the Touch of Tartan Ball in aid of the Society at the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; No 7 Company Coldstream Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
