The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, visits the Surrey Space Centre for the design and building of satellites, Surrey University, Guildford; The Duke of Kent, as Chancellor, also attends, and presides over the conferment of degrees ceremony. The Duke of York visits the Ina Bearing Company, Llanelli, Dyfed; visits Bosch Limited, Miskin, Vale of Glamorgan, Mid Glamorgan; and, as Patron, the Welsh Badminton Union, visits the Welsh Institute of Sport, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. The Princess Royal, Colonel, the Blues and Royals, visits Combermere Barracks, Windsor, Berkshire.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
