Artist Rachel Lichtenstein has been fascinated with the Cabbala obsessive David Rodinsky for years. He disappeared from his room above an East End synagogue in the 1960s: she has studied his life from what he left behind. Now she has written a book about him, with Iain Sinclair (Granta, out next week), and created an artwork (Artangel 0171 336 6801, Wed to 30 June)
