Those tabloid TV 'scoops' in short: Jesse Birdsall, who plays the eternally shaded Marcus Tandy in Eldorado, was searched outside a London store, suspected of stealing a pair of pounds 300 sunglasses. The enraged soap star was found to be innocent, a victim of a mistaken identity. Said a shop spokesman: 'We didn't know who he was. After all, who watches Eldorado?'. And Shannen Doherty of Beverly Hills 90210 is now packing a pistol after a madman tried to kill her.
