OVER THE YEARS many visiting rap artists have gained a bad name for turning up late and giving shoddy performances, but this has never applied to The Jungle Brothers (right), who always put in energetic good- value shows. Thanks to the successful re-release of their anthemic "I'll House You" earlier in the year, and a general thirst for old school hip-hop, they've returned for a short tour. With 10 years' worth of great material to draw on, they're sure to get the house moving and involved. Support comes from the Freestylers.

Riverside, Newcastle (0191-261 4386) 7.30pm

Before they participate in tomorrow night's Camdemonium 15-band fest, those mad Oregonians, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, do a warm-up gig to show London their extremely addictive brand of warped 1960s garage rock with a contemporary edge. Definitely one for those who like their rock 'n' roll spectacles.

Upstairs at the Garage, London N1 (0171-607 1818) 8pm
