What Is It?

The list of artists featured in The Shape of the Century, part of the Salisbury Festival, reads like a Who's Who of 20th-century sculpture. Henri Gaudier-Brzeska and Eric Gill through Henry Moore (right) and Barbara Hepworth, to contemporary artists such as Stephen Cox and Rachel Whiteread, are all represented in this refreshingly informal survey of the past 100 years. Curated by Annette Ratuszniak, the 86 sculptures, by 54 artists turn up all around the city - in the Cathedral, the library, the New Arts Centre, in pedestrian precincts and office entrances.
