Juno and the Paycock (Albery, 071- 867 1115, to 19 June). London's first chance to see Joe Dowling's revelatory production of O'Casey's best play.

King Lear (Royal Shakespeare, Stratford, 0789 295623, to Jan 1994). Adrian Noble's cosmic-scale production, incomparably led by Robert Stephens.

City of Angels (Prince of Wales, 071- 839 5972). Celluloid and film studio intrigue combine in Broadway's best- crafted musical since Guys and Dolls.

The Last Yankee (Duke of York's, 071-836 5122, to 4 Sept). Miller's resonant study of clinical depression, with Helen Burns in award-winning form.
