"I wasn't being offered any roles," says the north Londoner, "so I wrote Bitch Boxer."
It paid off: her one-woman show, which she stars in, was part of the Old Vic New Voices Edinburgh Season and won the Young Writers Award at the Soho Theatre, where it now has a run. To get ready for the part, Josephine trained to become a boxer. She finally landed a role in the Donmar's Julius Caesar, and now she is developing a new play with the writers' lab at the Soho Theatre.
