Ducktastic, performed by Hamish McColl and Sean Foley under Branagh's direction, opened at the Albery Theatre in London last month with high expectations but received mixed reviews.

It was booking until July but will now finish on 19 November. Ticket prices have been slashed to £10 for the remainder of the run. a spokeswoman said yesterday: "It just didn't take off."

Ducktastic took the flamboyant Las Vegas-based performers Siegfried and Roy as its starting point just as The Play What I Wrote was inspired by comedy pair Morecambe and Wise.
